Catalina.com Presents Donavon Frankenreiter at Avalon Canyon

Catalina.com is pleased to announce a special performance with Donavon Frankenreiter on Catalina Island at the picturesque Avalon Canyon on Friday, August 17, 2012. Catalina.com in partnership with the World Famous KROQ are presenting the show as part of the KROQ ROQ N’ SURF series, a season of live music and summer themed events taking place throughout Southern California Memorial through Labor Day.

Donavon Frankenreiter is a Southern California native with seven successful albums released and fans of his mellow rhythmic sounds spread worldwide. Orange County based acoustic indie jug band, Moonsville Collective, will open the show. A second stage will feature youth and local island bands including The Black Feet Braves kicking off the event from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Avalon Canyon is a picturesque outdoor grass park that lends to impressive acoustics and a memorable view of Avalon Bay. Specialty food and cocktails will be available courtesy of local Catalina Island restaurants and bars. Table and cabana service is also available during the show.

Tickets for Donavon Frankenreiter on August 17 are currently on-sale via Catalina.com. General admission concert tickets are available for $30. General admission tickets to the show plus a same-day round trip boat fare departing from Long Beach harbor are $75. Up-front VIP tickets are available at $65 and VIP tickets plus same day round trip boat fare are $110. VIP cabanas for up to four guests are available for $300 and up to six guests at $500. All of the show proceeds will be donated to The Collective Sound, a non-profit organization established to provide resources that empower young musicians to develop their creativity in a guided collaborative environment. The Catalina.com Concert Series is open to all ages. Doors for the concert open at 6 p.m.
