Los Cerritos Center announced plans to add a Harkins Theatres 16-screen megaplex and sought-after retailers DICK’S Sporting Goods, Zara, UNIQLO, and Microsoft to the buoyant, suburban Southern California retail property.

The mall kicked off the two-wing construction project this summer, with planned grand openings beginning in fall 2015.  Los Cerritos Center is owned and operated by Santa Monica-based Macerich (NYSE: MAC), one of the nation’s leading regional shopping center companies.

“We are bringing a set of new attractions to Los Cerritos Center to meet the robust shopper demand in this outstanding trade area,” said Ken Kraus, Property Manager for Los Cerritos Center.  “This property introduced a new, larger Nordstrom in 2010.  Now, adding a brand-new Harkins Theatre and other great retailers helps make sure this popular shopping destination continues to be the region’s sophisticated yet approachable source for top shopping, dining and entertainment.”

Coming to Los Cerritos Center as part of the project are:

  • Harkins Theatres
  • DICK’S Sporting Goods
  •  ZARA
  • UNIQLO
  • Microsoft

“Los Cerritos Center has grown with this region and is a top draw for this part of Southern California,” said Mark Pulido, Mayor, City of Cerritos.  “We applaud Macerich for continuing to invest in its outstanding property, which is a true asset for our community.”

Los Cerritos Center is anchored by Nordstrom, Macy’s, Sears and Forever 21 and offers more than 180 dining options and specialty shops. Mall stores will be open throughout the construction process.  For updates on redevelopment progress, visit www.ShopLosCerritos.com/Redevelopment  or like us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/ShopLosCerritos.
