Downtown Ontario is emerging as a destination for arts and culture, with public art, new businesses and cultural experiences bringing new energy and investment to the city’s historic core. Helping drive that evolution is O-Town Walls Mural Fest, returning October 12–17 with internationally recognized artists, 14 new murals and expanded cultural programming that will continue to shape the identity of the growing Ontario Arts District.
Now in its second year, O-Town Walls is building a growing collection of large-scale public art throughout Downtown Ontario. This year, 14 artists from across the U.S. and around the world will create permanent new works, bringing the downtown collection to more than 30 murals and further establishing the district as a place to experience art and creativity year-round.
“Ontario is becoming a destination for art and culture, and that creative energy is having an impact far beyond the walls we paint,” shared O-Town Walls President and Creative Director Mia Melle. “It’s bringing people downtown, attracting new businesses and investment, and creating momentum throughout the district. O-Town Walls is helping accelerate that transformation and build a downtown that is culturally significant, economically vibrant and distinctly Ontario.”
This year’s festival will bring six days of live painting, community activations and cultural programming to Downtown Ontario, centered around the 2026 theme, “Butterfly Effect.” The theme explores how a single creative act can ripple outward—changing a wall, inspiring a neighborhood and ultimately influencing the way people see and experience a city. “We’re honored to welcome back O-Town Walls Mural Fest as Downtown Ontario continues to grow as a destination for arts, culture and community,” shared GOCAL President and CEO Michael Krouse. “The festival brings new energy to the Arts District while creating a lasting collection of public art that gives both locals and visitors another reason to experience Downtown Ontario.”
Artists will begin painting on October 12, giving visitors the opportunity to watch large-scale works come to life throughout the week, meet participating artists and explore the surrounding Ontario Arts District. The artists will complete their final works by October 17.
This year’s international lineup brings acclaimed mural and street artists from around the world to Downtown Ontario, including Seoul, South Korea-based Chris Shim (Royyal Dog), whose striking photorealistic portraits have appeared on walls across the globe; Dutch artist David Louf (Mr. June), recognized for bold geometric works that transform architecture through color and perspective; and Spanish artist Tirso Paz (BUBLEGUM), whose vibrant large-scale murals blend realism with a distinctive contemporary style. The international roster is joined by notable Southern California artists including Santa Ana-based spray paint muralist Damin Lujan (Zaoone) and Rancho Cucamonga-based muralist and sculptor Shane Grammer, bringing globally recognized talent together with artists from O-Town Walls’ own Southern California creative community.
